In 2015 Ahmed Mohamed, a young American-Sudanese boy was arrested in Texas, USA under the suspicion of creating and taking a hoax bomb to school. He had reassembled parts of a digital clock in a pencil container as part of a science project and the subsequent reaction demonstrates the paranoid and delusional fear that has monopolized ordinary actions of individual people. Displayed is the same model as the clock that Ahmed reassembled; a ready-made artefact documenting the prevalent racial profiling of law enforcement.
